CLAIM: This product claims to “create a smooth, invisible layer that acts as a “buffer” to outside elements and expertly holds foundation.” Also this primer includes vitamins A, C and E to protect the skin and supposedly it works for all skin types.
MY THOUGHTS: I really like the consistency of this primer because it does not feel silicony which I cannot stand in most primers. when you apply it on your face you don’t need much which is a pro because the item is quite pricey. The primer also absorbs into the skin quickly so that you can move onto applying foundation without having to wait to long. Laura Mercier makes different types of primers including an oil free one which would be more appropriate for oily/combination skin (like mine), however I tried the one for “all skin types” and found that it made me look super oily after about 5 hours of wear.
in this photo you can see that my nose and my forehead look very shiny which is the opposite of what a primer is supposed to do.
Here we can see that the foundation has started to fade and my scars have become more visible. This is because the base underneath my foundation (primer) is not made for my skin type.
I would have to say that I was not impressed with this primer and I would not repurchase it as it is between $19-$32.
